Emmy Magazine: Cause and Effects

Emmy Magazine spotlighted FuseFX in their "In The Mix" section. The article discusses the exploding growth in content that has led to VFX expansion. The article chronicles Dave Altenau (CEO/Founder), Jason Fotter (CTO/Co-founder) and Tim Jacobsen (CDO/Co-founder)  start in the business and how their partnership that started with modest means has expanded into the premiere VFX house for episodic television. Today, the company now has more than 300 staffers across all of its locations in Los Angeles, New York, and Vancouver.  Altenau says that the acclaimed cable shows such as "Deadwood" and "Damages" changed what people expected to see on TV. "In 2008, I was getting more work than I could handle myself," he recalls. "So I invited Tim and Jason to form the company, and we had a natural focus on episodic productions at that time." With more clients demanding work outside of L.A., FuseFX opened its New York and Vancouver offices in 2014.
