Visual effects artists from FuseFX are currently nominated for three Visual Effects Society (VES) Awards for their work in episodic television.
Visual Effects Supervisor Kevin Lingenfelser has received a nomination for his work on Marvel’s Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D. The nomination is for Outstanding Visual Effects in a Visual Effects-Driven Photoreal/Live Action Broadcast Program. He shares the nomination with VFX Supervisor Mark Kolpack, VFX Producer Sabrina Arnold, Special Effects Supervisor Gary D’Amico and Digital Effects Supervisor David Breedon. Lingenfelser shared a 2014 Primetime Emmy nomination for his work on the same series.
Visual Effects Supervisor Jason Piccioni, Visual Effects Producer Jason C. Spratt, CG Supervisor Mike Kirylo, Visual Effects Supervisor Justin Ball and Special Effects Coordinator Eric Roberts are nominated for Outstanding Supporting Visual Effects in a Visual Effects-Driven Photoreal/Live Action Broadcast Program for American Horror Story: Freak Show. Kirylo and Ball each have two previous VES nominations.
Compositors Tommy Tran, Joseph Vincent Pike, Rob Lutz and Matt Lefferts are nominated for Outstanding Compositing in a Photoreal/Live Action Broadcast Program for American Horror Story: Freak Show.

Airing on ABC, Marvel’s Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D. is Marvel’s first live action television series. FuseFX produces numerous effects for the show via two teams of artists and its customized, highly efficient workflow pipeline. The facility contributed to the design of “The Bus,” a modified C17 military transport plane outfitted with S.H.I.E.L.D. technology, and “Lola,” a classic 1962 Corvette fitted with hidden jet engines.
FuseFX has produced visual effects for all four seasons of American Horror Story. The fourth season, subtitled Freak Show, is primarily set in 1952 Jupiter, Florida and tells the story of one of the last remaining freak shows in the United States. Work on the show ranges from digital environments and matte paintings to face and body replacements, digital doubles and pyrotechnics.
