Los Angeles-FuseFX, a leading visual effects studio based here, provided visual effects for four one-hour scripted pilots that will go to series in the 2013-2014 TV season.
The pilots are: “Marvel’s Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D” (ABC), “Legends” (TNT), “Low Winter Sun” (AMC) and “Gang Related” (Fox).
ABC announced that “Marvel’s Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D.” will take over the 8:00 pm slot on Tuesdays this fall. This has previously been the time slot for “Dancing with the Stars.” “Legends”stars Sean Bean as an undercover FBI operative who considers himself to be a master of disguise until a stranger informs him that he is not actually the man he believes himself to be. The series will be Bean’s most high-profile US television role since playing Lord Eddard Stark in the first season of “Game of Thrones.” “Low Winter Sun” is a contemporary story of murder, deception, revenge and corruption in a world where the line between cops and criminals is blurred. “Gang Related” revolves around a gang member sent in to infiltrate the San Francisco Police Department who rises through its ranks and must balance his obligations to his crime family– the gang from his old neighborhood– with an increasing sense of loyalty to his new family, the SFPD’s Gang Task Force.
FuseFX will continue to provide visual effects for series the studio has been attached to since their inception, including “Criminal Minds” (CBS), “Franklin & Bash”(USA), “Glee” (Fox), “Hell on Wheels” (AMC), “Longmire” (A&E), “Master of Sex,” (Showtime), and “Revolution (NBC).”
In addition to their work for several leading cable and pay channels, FuseFX has shows represented on all four broadcast networks.
