Jason Spratt joined the FuseFX team in 2013 as a Visual Effects Producer. Born and raised in Southern California, Jason graduated from California State University, Northridge with a Bachelor of Arts in Radio, Television & Film and while in college, worked for Apogee Incorporated in Van Nuys, CA. After graduating from CSUN, Jason obtained a position in television animation at Disney TV Animation and later worked for Hyperion Animation Studios. While in TV animation, Jason worked as both a Recording Coordinator and Post Production Supervisor. Jason has been working in Post Production since 1991 and more specifically in Visual Effects since 1996. He began his career in visual effects working at Modern Videofilm on various Saban Entertainment television series: Mighty Morphin Power Rangers, Masked Rider and Big Bad Beetleborgs. He also gained valuable experience as a VFX Set-Supervisor while at Modern Videofilm.
Jason continued his visual effects career in 2003 at Stargate Studios, before joining FuseFX in 2013. Jason has been nominated 3 times for a Visual Effects Society Award, and won once in 2014 for American Horror Story “Freak Show”. That same year, he garnered the Emmy Award for Outstanding Special Visual Effects In A Supporting Role for American Horror Story “Freak Show”.
