As FuseFX’s Managing Producer of Global Operations, Dan Rucinski oversees ongoing production activity at the company’s facilities in New York and Vancouver. Dan works with visual effects supervisors and producers on projects based out of the two facilities, as well as coordinating activity between them and the FuseFX headquarters in Los Angeles. Dan serves as a local representative to all LA based clients that are doing work in the satellite offices, attends shot reviews and meetings in person, personally enhancing the experience of working with a remote office.
A graduate of USC Film School, Dan got his start in visual effects at Foundation Imaging, where he served as CG Producer on the groundbreaking animated series Roughnecks: The Starship Troopers Chronicles. He also produced the CG-animated series Max Steel and Dan Dare: Pilot of the Future. He later served as a VFX Producer on the blockbuster feature Sky Captain and the World of Tomorrow, the first film comprised entirely of blue screen shots. His background also includes posts with Walt Disney Animation Studios, Prana Studios and Radium. Additionally, he spent six years as Executive Producer of Entity FX, overseeing operations in Los Angeles and Vancouver for such television projects as Game of Thrones, The Vampire Diaries and Breaking Bad as well as the features Herbie: Fully Loaded, I Am Number Four, and Riddick.
