FuseFX stands apart thanks to its exceptional and experienced team; its long-term, trusted client relationships; and its proprietary, highly efficient pipeline, Nucleus, which facilitates every project. Our team is accustomed to working with high-level studio clients, including directors and cinematographers who are often faced with demanding deadlines and complex visual challenges. Every FuseFX client receives boutique-style service while also enjoying the benefits of a larger studio with deep expertise and multiple locations.
Today, FuseFX’s three locations have more than 60 television shows in production simultaneously, while also servicing various commercial and feature film projects. FuseFX was founded by David Altenau in 2006 and initially provided visual effects for a few episodic productions. In 2008, Tim Jacobsen and Jason Fotter joined the company as partners and contributed to significant expansion, adding infrastructure and personnel to service multiple major episodic television programs as well as feature films and commercials. In 2014, FuseFX opened new offices in New York and Vancouver to service local clients in those markets, both led by industry veterans. In 2016, FuseFX consolidated its four-building Burbank presence into a larger, state-of-the-art facility in Sherman Oaks – complete with a special ribbon-cutting ceremony led by Los Angeles Mayor Eric Garcetti.
Recently the company launched FuseVR to create visual effects assets for virtual reality projects, including 3D sets, digital environments and CG characters.
